What is mock trial?

Do you have a love for true crime? What about problem-solving? Acting? Well, if you love any, or all, of these, mock trial is the activity for you! Every year AMTA (The American Mock Trial Association) releases a 200-page case packet filled to the brim with case law, witness affidavits, and exhibits: AKA all the good stuff. Our job as a team is to prepare statements, directs, and cross-examinations to compete against teams across the country.

Our Program

UW Mock Trial is one of the best mock trial programs in the country. We have two teams, each with around ten undergraduate students. Each of us has different majors and career interests, but we all share a love for the practice of law.
